Summary Information

A team from Valence Strategic put together a series of infographics to encourage policymakers to push for the proliferation of micromobility services (such as e-scooters).

Findings
In general, e-scooters were represented to be:
  • More energy efficient than traditional vehicles (e.g. the embedded energy of an e-scooter is less than 1 percent of the embedded energy in an automobile).
  • Cheaper in terms of capitals costs compared to alternatives.
  • Cheaper to fuel than alternatives like public transit, taxis, and personal cars.
